READ-A-THON WEEK
Students will record the number of minutes they read or are read to. Reading Records will go home on Friday (8.21) and they are due on Friday (8.28).

BOOK FAIR
Pinnacle will hold our annual Scholastic Book Fair Monday (8.24) - Friday (8.28). The Book Fair will be open Monday-Friday mornings from 7:30-7:55 am and Monday-Thursday afternoon from 3:30-4:00 pm. The Book Fair will also be opened during our Milk & Bookies Event on Tuesday (8.25) from 5:30-7:00 pm. If you would like to volunteer to help out during our Book Fair please contact Ms. Dawson.

STORY HOUR
Kindergarten-3rd grade parents are invited to come and read to their child's class throughout the week. Please contact your child's teacher for available times.

MILK & BOOKIES FAMILY NIGHT
On Tuesday, August 25th, come out for our second annual 'Milk and Bookies' family literacy night! Enjoy some milk and cookies as you shop our book fair and donate a book or two to a child in need. You can bring a book to donate or purchase on at the book fair. We will also have various literacy activities that you're not going to want to miss!

STORYBOOK CHARACTER DRESS UP DAY
On Friday (8.28) students are invited to dress up as their favorite storybook character. Students will need to bring their storybook with them to present to their class. We will have a short parade so that everyone can see each others costumes. The parade will begin at 8:15 am and parents are welcome to attend.
