Reading Week & Fall Book Fair


Weeklong Events

Scholastic Book Fair- Our Fall Scholastic Book Fair will run all week during Reading Week. Students may come peruse the amazing books available between 7:30 am – 7:50am on Monday – Friday. Families will also be able to purchase items at the fair during our Family Literacy Night on Tuesday, September 10th. Families may also utilize online ordering here (link available soon).  

Read-A-Thon– Students will each be given a Reading Log to keep track of their reading for the week. Although it is a great way to challenge yourself to read more just for fun, prizes will also be available for the individuals who read the most from each class and the individual who read the most for all of PPA!

Weekday Events 

Family Literacy Night: Tuesday, September 10th at 5:00 pm– Join us for our Family Literacy Night where we will have resources available to support your student’s love of reading. The Book Fair will also be available for those unable to attend the morning times. 

Little Red Hen Performance: Wednesday, September 11th – Preschool through second grade students will get to enjoy a puppet show performance by the Great Arizona Puppet Theater. 

Storybook Character Dress-Up Day: Friday, September 13th– Students may dress up as their favorite storybook character! Make sure to bring the storybook containing you character to school on Friday. Please, ensure that your spirit attire is school-appropriate (no sleeveless attire, no open toe shoes, no toy/prop weapons, appropriate).
